Summer holiday activities in Singapore can be hard to find. Lucky for us, we’ve got a tried-and-tested recipe for the best summer holiday camp for kids in Singapore.
Children aged 6-13
Step 2. Kit them out in brand new design camp shirts!
After 15 years of camps, we’ve shaken up the design of the camp shirts. Still in yellow and blue for our team games, these dry-fit shirts are much better suited to sporty, muddy activities.
Step 3. Season with Mountain Bikes
This year, we added a Mountain Biking Programme to Centaurs sports camps. Our friends at Singapore Cycling Federation taught our campers how to ride over different terrain, obstacles and even some tricks on our BMX track. What about the kids who didn’t know how to ride a bike? No problem, we taught them! 6 kids learned to ride a bike with us this Summer – saving mum and dad a job!
Step 4. Add a splash of variety
We added Friday afternoon water games – what better way to cool off at the end of a fun, active week? The kids loved competing in team water races, splashing each other and, of course, soaking our coaches!
Step 5. Throw in something kids don’t normally get to do
Of course, we still found time to explore our unique home at The Pit, including everything from our fun obstacle course, to team challenges and team treasure hunts. The kids were able to build resilience and confidence in attempting our challenges.
Step 6. Go somewhere new
In addition to our new Mountain Biking Programme, we continued to offer two excursions per week, such as laser tag, trampolining, Forest Adventure and kayaking.
Step 7. Finish on a high
Finally, send the kids home, happy but exhausted, with memories to treasure.
